The Grouch
Three Eyes Off The Time
Legendary | 2009

The Grouch, the Living Legend who has turned 'being a father' into 'the new cool', returns with a 10-track album, produced by DJ Fresh. Have you ever heard an MC rappin more cooler about raising a daughter? Have you ever heard an MC spittin about responsibility with more flair? Chances are slim. However The Grouch must be one of the few emcees who can manage it. Since having a baby daughter, this Hawaiian resident is clearly evolving into one of the most complete rappers on the planet today.

'Heroes In The City Of Dope with Zion I was a turning-point' he claims in 'I'm Dreamin'. He's grateful about his daughter Rio -who features with her version of Beyonce's 'Single Ladies'. He's grateful for being capable of making the music he loves, and living off it, right there on the Hawaiian island. But it never ever sounds corny or 'yeah, yeah, we heard it before'.

Instead he manages to imply his positive vibes on the listener, with well-shaped metaphors, various rhyme schemes and an effervescent flow that perfectly suit the dreamery soundscape of DJ Fresh.

Small but soothing, this one. Sit back, relax, enjoy the music. Thanks Grouch, we'll be comfortable untill the next one drops.
