For the first time again in four years, the Soul Brother nr 1 Pete Rock drops a full-length album project called 'NY's Finest' on Nature Sounds (in conjunction with Soul Survivor). Featuring contributions from Raekwon, Masta Killa, Redman, Method Man, Lupe Fiasco, Jim Jones, Papoose, Slum Village and MF Doom a.o., the record issues February 26.

Traffic Ent did it again! Now the label is proud to present the release of Edo. G's shelved 'Acting' album from 1996, formerly only exclusively released in Japan as an EP. Now it is reformed to a 18-track long album with remixes, bonus tracks, interludes and acapellas. Production by the Vinyl Reanimators and Edo himself, while Scientifik and Big Shug come bless the mic. Out 15th of January 2008.

Next up on Hiphop IS Music is Othello's third solo effort 'Live At The Assembly Line'. With production from M-Phazes, The Procussions, Ohmega Watts, Illmind, and Othello himself plus collabs with Pigeon john, Vursatyl (Lifesavaz) and his crew Lightheaded, this record is another milestone in the short history of Braille's label. Out: Oct 30.

The Actual Factual Grand Daddy I.U. is celebratin his comeback with the first release on his own Steady Flow label, 'Stick To The Script', dropping November 13. A claim for all artists and fans to stick to the realness, with the help from producers Marco Polo and Large Professor and co-rhymespitters DV Alias Khryst, Pudgee the Phat Bastard and 2Pac (!).

Known for his projects 'Dopestyle 1231' and 'Project Polaroid' with Kool Keith, Tom C3 is back with the 'Saga Of The Simian Samurai', a collabo album with Prince Po. 14 tracks deep with featurings from Del The Funkee Homosapien, AG and Motion Man, this album is Threshold Recordings' most anticipated LP of the year, dropping November 6.

Coming straight of the Deepspace5 crew, Sev Statik and Deejay Dust will be dropping their 'Back To Dust' on Hiphopismusic, October 9th. A straight-up MC and Deejay collabo with features by LMNO, Manchild and Theory Hazit, a.o. Every single track will be produced by Dust himself, who’s also known for his work for Mars ILL. A rapper that will look good on the Rhymesayers’ roster: Kansas City’s Mac Lethal brings '11/11', a cynical portray of drinks, girls and his hometown. Alongside production by Seven, Lenny D and Laserbreak, there’s guest features by not a goddamn body. For those who can barely wait here’s a track of the album, set for a October 9 release.

We’re not really speculating on a new classic album, but it sure feels nice to know that Jeru The Damaja is still around. His fifth album 'Still Rising' (his previous one dates from 2003 already) issues on his Ashenafi Records October 16. There’s not much info out yet but apparently it will carry production by Large Professor and JuJu of the Beatnuts. Jeru’s Myspace will introduce you further to the album.

Coming on Ubiquity Records October 8th is Ohmega Watts' sophomore album 'Watts Happening'. Expect features from his group Lightheaded, Theory Hazit, Surreal of the Sound Providers, Jneiro Jarel and even Tita Lima. Where his debut album 'The Find' was pretty ecclectic, this one will get your mind even more open.

Don't be a statue and stare because up and coming is Insight and Damu the Fudgemunk aka Y Society's debut album on Tres Records 'Travel At Your Own Pace'. The record, set to be released October 8, joins Damu's MPC-wizzardry with Insight's lush lyricism, where boombap marries jazz, bringin the music both artists and the Tres Record label are known for.
