The Durable Mammal aka Moka Only is back with 'The Desired Effect'. His website quotes that the album will be exclusively released to Canada on BattleAxe/Nettwerk/EMI in August. So the question remains IF it will be released worldwide and if yes WHEN, or, if not, will it be sold on Internet? The album features MF Doom, Jay Dee and Mad Child (Swollen Members)! Manifest and Blueprint are back as Greenhouse Effect with their third album 'Columbus Or Bust', releasing on Weightless/Raptivism 28th of June. Both artists are hailing from the Midwest, USA and especially Blueprint has built up a rep with RJD2 collabo LP's and productions for Illogic. This album will feature Murs and Jakki the Motha Mouth, all tracks are produced by Blueprint himself. Check out some snippets.

In 2004, producer Maker and MC Qwel dropped a terrific album called 'The Harvest'. For this year, Maker is back with 'Shooting The Breeze', a full instrumental album showing off Maker's beatcrafting skills! Everything the Micranots released is pure gold! Now, Kool Akiem's partner I Self Divine goes solo with his first effort 'Self Destruction'. Now, don't go running wild, because the LP not drops before the beginning of August but don't say you haven't been warned soon enough. The CD is already registred and soon on pre-sale at several, well-known Internet stores. Poster and stickers come along free. Crayon and Rock Shabazz are The Longshots, a promising Brooklyn/Queens duo, who will drop their 'Hunger Music' on July 1. The album features production by Ayatollah, Funky DL, The Beat Bandits, Southpaw and a guest spot by Akir of the Immortal Technique crew. Also look out for their collabo EP with Norway producer The White Shadow, to be released in the near future!

'Sloppy Seconds' ain't that the title of Porn Theatre Ushers' EP from 2000? Yeah, but it's also the name of Cunninlynguists' first compilation album. Now, 'Sloppy Seconds Vol 2' is being released as an appetizer for the upcoming CL album 'Piece Of Strange'. The CD features The Beatnuts, Masta Ace, Celph Titled, Trek Life a.o. and hit stores June 14.

While the first volume celebrated Christina Ricci, Murs & Slug's 'Felt 2' is a tribute to another actress: former Cosby Show star Lisa Bonet. Hell, even Pam Grier will feature on this album, alongside MF Doom, on the track 'Be My Woman'. There's also a guest spot by Project Blowed's Subtitle. Most of the album is produced by Murs himself and there’s some additional production by Ant, Slug's beat supplier in Atmosphere. Due to drop July 12!

Just when you thought it was safe! The lost 1992-classic from Zimbabwe Legit is finally about to see some light. 'Brothers From The Mother' will be released through Glow-in-the-Dark Records (the Japanese version seems to drop on May 18th, about a month earlier than the worldwide one). Who can't remember the magnificent rhymes by Jus Allah on the first Jedi Mind Tricks album? Everybody should. The guy left the group on amicable terms and now returns on the same label as his former group: Babygrande. Jus Allah's solo debut 'All Fates Have Changed' will drop early June and will have contributions from GZA, Lord Jamar and Agallah. The Don Bishop did some production too. Jus Allah baby!

Afu-Ra's latest 'Perverted Monks' project didn't made our day but with his upcoming album he might hit us with some tracks that'll remind us of the 'Whirlwind Thru Cities' days.
