Straight out the First Priority camp came Pos K ready to blow the spot. 'I Got A Man' was a big hit in the States but the album never got too much credit. Not the credit it deserved anyway. This album is a magnificent piece of hip-hop with fresh funky beats and clever rhymes.
POSTED 02|01|2005This album is a mix of nasty funk break beats, quality hip-house and smooth relaxed songs.
POSTED 12|09|2004'Mr Moov Sumthin' moves you to think, to nod your head, to dance and even to laugh. The production by The Unknown, Dayjuva, Cyrus and Oddisee is not groundbreaking at all but it has this strong, persistent but at the same time relaxed, soulful vibe, confident just like the emcee. Now please excuse us, as we keep this pumping for a while.
POSTED 11|10|2005'Hip Hop Gold Dust' introduces the average Prince Paul fan (read: average hip-hop fan) to a lot of unknown essentials, it pleases rap geeks with unreleased jewels and vinyl heads get those treasures with a better sound quality, because some of the songs on this record were originally pressed on vinyl with a low sound.
POSTED 11|14|2005This is a record with attitude, pumpin bass lines, rollin drums and some electro breaks. Dope, def, devastating… Priority One Posse has left a mark in the last year of a remarkable hip-hop decade.
POSTED 02|11|2005This album’s only pressed on CD, so vinyl addicts have to sin for this one, cuz it’s a pretty decent album. In fact, it’s a great album.
POSTED 10|04|2004The album reflects a melancholic, moody atmosphere like 'Fine Line (Portrait of a Man)' for instance; 'He used to pray, so peace could last for the moment, all of his life, he was tossed around like sand in the ocean' Prizm raps over a voilin driven beat.
POSTED 07|05|2005Prozack Turner rhymes about his passion for real rap (a lot of winks to rap history), his source of inspiration (the night, hence the album's title) and his beloved home turf of Oakland ('High Enough' with Brother Ali).
