The rhymes are funny, amusing, laid-back. It's all about having a good time and chasin girls mixed with some braggin writes, but they never take it too serious.
POSTED 07|14|2004'Detroit Deli' is not the group’s (who is now T3 and Elzhi) best work but at the same time it has a a few tracks crying for a spot on Slum’s greatest hits album.
POSTED 07|07|2004This LP’s groundbreaking in the use of samples; a lot of them will sound familiar. The Kool & The Gang break in the Bomb Squad produced 'Coolin in Cali' was also used in Stezo’s 'Bring the Horns' for instance.
POSTED 07|06|2004Kamachi couldn’t have made a better move by releasing his debut on EC Records, the album fits excellent in the already impressive discography of the young label.
POSTED 07|02|2004This whole album is truly an eargasm. Metal Fingers pushes the limits of hip-hop and takes it to a higher level once again.
POSTED 07|01|2004This album proves that Detroit is a place where hip-hop is livin and talent is brewin. Watch out for more Detroit releases in the near future (and I ain’t talking about D12). Features also on the album: Lil Sci from Scienz of Life.
POSTED 07|01|2004Their style is a mix of the early 90’s West Coast sound (The Pharcyde, Souls of Mischief) and the East Coast funk of Diamond D, Fu-Schnickens and Leaders of the New School. If this album is your cup of tea, also check out the album of Da King & I. Hip-hop to the fullest!
POSTED 06|13|2004Just like the cover the music is funny and about havin a good time: 'On the Beach' is crackalackin humour: seagulls are screaming in the background while Reggie B is choking in the sand 'God made dirt and dirt don’t hurt'…imagine that.
POSTED 06|10|2004Encore’s voice has a unique timbre and his flow is flawless. Again, on this second LP he shines.
POSTED 06|06|2004Kwame rhymes with style, finesse and an open mind. Positive rap was not new at the end of the 80s through the success of the Nativue Tongue click, especially De La Soul, but Kwame’s a nice representative too, yet, with a very personal style.
