Belgian West Coast (Iron representin ODK) and East Coast (Calico representin 'Breninge City') connect and lace up a mixture of a-capella’s from the greatest, roughest and funkiest MC’s to a selection of hard-hittin, raw productions and the most boombappest of beats.

'Take Warning' contains eight creative songs with various kinds of productions, while Super Ugly’s raw and deep voice contrasts or underlines the music. Both artists match perfectly and are able to produce plenty more of good music in the future, starting with 'Brokedown Palace'.

Absolute Power created a mature record inspired by their own outside-of-the-box-thinking definition of hip-hop, which makes this album not so accessible voor the narrow minded or lazy listener. It took a while for us to appreciate (let alone comprehend – no pun intended) the style and concepts, but it most def did grow on us.

Aight, I’m not going to break my head on what exactly a Bohemian pimp is or aspires, but one thing's for sure; 'he' makes some good music. As a founder of Philadelphia’s Schoolz Of Thought, Intense has earned a few stripes in the game, but with this solo project, he proves that he can stand his own.

When DJ Sloppy White releases another mix tape, there’s a certain tension rising here at the office. Even more than Edan, 7L or Ivory mixtapes, you just know that it will a) contain rare gems that you’ve never heard of, or always looked over, b) be wrapped up in fantastic art work and c) give you a blast from the past with long-time-no-heard, impeccable grooves.

Formerly a part of the Acts29 project, Soul P is known for his devoted and Christian inspired lyrics. 'The Soul Affect' is his second solo effort after 'Simply Soul' and as both titles already suggest this is meant for your soul, but also for the mind.

If 'The Medi-Cali Trilogy' continues on the same level as it started, then Planet Asia will probably do something that no rapper has done before, especially in such a short period of time. Glad to see Cali Agent number 2 surrounded with such quality producers, who perfectly support the evolution of his rap game and his renewed sound.
